Step by Step: Applying for IDA Offerings

Applying for the industrial land and ready units offered by the Industrial Development Authority is now fully online, through the Egypt Industrial Digital Platform (madein.eg). The ministry says offerings are made periodically, about every three months.

Before you start: prepare this information

  • National ID number, and the company’s details and legal form.
  • Bank details.
  • Project details: the allocation type requested, initial investment, products and headcount.
  • A description of the manufacturing process: inputs, production lines and operating details.
  • The documents required by the tender booklet.

Application steps

  1. Log in to the platform, or create an account.
  2. Read the tender booklet for the offering.
  3. Search plots by sector or location on the map, and add them to your interests.
  4. Enter the applicant’s details.
  5. Rank your choices: a primary and a backup choice.
  6. Enter contact details.
  7. Enter bank details.
  8. Enter project details.
  9. Enter the manufacturing process description.
  10. Review and confirm the data, and print the tender booklet.
  11. Upload the required documents.
  12. Pay the booking deposit online.
  13. Optionally, bid a price per m² above the listed price.

How is competition for the same plot resolved?

If several investors apply for the same plot and all meet the minimum technical and economic criteria, the plot goes to the highest bid per m² above the listed price.

When are results announced?

Results are posted on the platform about two weeks after applications close, with an SMS and email notification.
